Report : 5591 Medical examinations, 367 Transient elastography (Fibroscan) and 3 Hepatectomy procedures were performed free of charge during November 2019.

The Egyptian Liver Foundation, headed by Prof. Dr. Gamal Shiha, announced carrying out medical tests and examinations for 5591 patients at the Association of liver Patients Care (ALPC) in Qoulingeel, and at the Egyptian Liver Hospital in Sherbeen. Different medical procedures were carried out free of charge during November 2029: 2277 Medical tests, 348 Endoscopy, 367 Transient elastography (Fibroscan), 1056 Ultrasound, 651 X-Rays, 315 CT scan, 15 ERCP, 7 EUS, and 58 Hepatic arterial injection therapy for liver tumors.

Prof. Dr. Gamal Shiha, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of liver Patients Care (ALPC), in Dakahlia, said that 28 Laparoscopic cholecystectomy procedures, 11 Bariatric surgery procedures, 2 Exploratory Laparotomy, 3 Hepatectomy procedures, 1 Colon cancer surgery,
1 Thyroidectomy, 1 Pancreatectomy and 1 Abdominoplasty were performed.
It also should be noted that 377 patients were examined in the Surgical Clinic, 78 in the Pediatric Clinic, 117 in the Pain Clinic, and 47 in the Heart Clinic. Varied treatments were provided for 1869 patients, as well as Hepatitis B Vaccination for 1588 patients.
