The Egyptian Association of Liver Patients Care- ALPC, member of the African Liver Patients Association- ALPA, chaired by Professor Gamal Shiha, declared signing the carrying out of free medical examination for 3 749 patients, together with 1 515 medical tests, 330 Fibroscan, and 629 Ultrasounds, 63 X-rays, 320 CT scan, 9 RV X-rays, 432 Endoscopies in November 2020.

Prof. Dr Gamal Shiha explained that different medical procedures were conducted: 64 hepatic intra-arterial injections, 18 Ultrasounds, 56 medical surgeries, including 34 laparoscopic cholecystectomies, 1 surgery for colorectal cancer, 9 weight loss surgeries, 1 liver resection, 4 Exploratory laparotomy, 7 abdominal hernia surgeries.

In addition, 363 individuals were vaccinated against hepatitis B, various treatments were provided to 876 patients, and medications were dispensed for 781 patients suffering from chronic liver disease.
