Egyptian Liver Hospital Signs Cooperation Protocol with the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate

Cairo, Egypt - May 29, 2024

Joint Medical Initiative to Provide Discounted Services to Syndicate Members

The Egyptian Liver Hospital, affiliated with the Egyptian Liver Patients Care Society, and the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate signed a joint cooperation protocol today aimed at providing discounted medical services by 50% to all syndicate members and their families.

The signing of this protocol comes in line with the belief of both institutions in the importance of supporting public health and patient care, and alleviating the financial burdens on syndicate members.

The protocol was signed at the headquarters of the Journalists Syndicate in Cairo, in the presence of:

  • Prof. Dr. Gamal Sheha, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Liver Hospital.
  • Mr. Khaled El-Bolshi, President of the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate.
  • Mr. Mohamed El-Garhy, Head of the Health Care Committee of the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate.
  • Mr. Gamal Abdel Rahim, Secretary-General of the Syndicate.
  • Prof. Dr. Amr Helmy, former Egyptian Minister of Health.
  • Prof. Dr. Hassan Mousa, Secretary-General of the African Development and Capacity Building Foundation.
  • Ms. Intisar Khalil, Executive Director of Dr. Gamal Sheha Foundation for Education, Culture and Sustainable Development.

Under this protocol, the Egyptian Liver Hospital provides all syndicate members and their families with:

  • Discounted medical services by 50% in all specialties of the Egyptian Liver Hospital, including:
    • Medical examination
    • Medical tests
    • X-ray
  • In addition to 50 free treatment cases without any cost ceiling, upon nomination from the Syndicate Council.
  • Freedom to choose the attending physician for each case.

Prof. Dr. Gamal Sheha expressed his happiness at signing the cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate, stressing the society's commitment to providing the best medical services to syndicate members and their families.

For his part, Mr. Khaled El-Bolshi praised the efforts of the Egyptian Liver Patients Care Society in the field of patient care, stressing that this protocol will contribute to alleviating the financial burdens on syndicate members and their families.

The signing of this protocol is an important step towards strengthening cooperation between the Egyptian Liver Patients Care Society and the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate, serving the public interest and contributing to improving the health of the Egyptian society.
