On the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, observed annually on July 28th, the Liver Disease Care Association in Dakahlia, in collaboration with the Egyptian Liver Hospital in Sharbin, organized an awareness campaign to educate the public about the dangers of hepatitis and preventive measures.

It encourages individuals, partners, and the public to participate and highlights the need to maximize the global response.
World Hepatitis Day, which falls on July 28th, commemorates the birth of Nobel laureate Dr. Baruch Blumberg, who is credited with discovering the hepatitis B virus and developing a diagnostic test and vaccine. This day serves as a platform to bolster national and international efforts in combating hepatitis, promote engagement among individuals, partners, and the public, increase public awareness and understanding of hepatitis and the diseases it causes, and encourage and support preventive measures, as well as diagnostic and treatment methods. It also underscores the importance of maximizing the global response as outlined in the World Health Organization's report.
