"Dr. Gamal Shiha Inspects Fieldwork Team on Sudanese Refugees

As part of his ongoing follow-up of the institution's projects, Professor Dr. Gamal Shiha, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the African Institution for Development and Capacity Building, conducted a field visit to inspect the team tasked with conducting a study on the needs of Sudanese refugees residing in the Maadi and Gardens of Maadi areas.

This visit comes within the framework of a comprehensive research project that began in early June 2024, aiming to assess the humanitarian, social, and economic needs of Sudanese refugees in these two areas, with the goal of providing the necessary support to them and improving their living conditions.

During the visit, Dr. Shiha was briefed on the progress of the fieldwork and the mechanism for collecting data and recording questionnaires. He also met with a number of volunteers participating in the study and listened to a detailed explanation of the project's stages and the preliminary results obtained so far.

It is expected that the data collection, analysis, and preparation of the final report of the study will be completed within the coming few weeks, where practical recommendations will be presented based on the study's results, with the aim of developing programs and services that meet the needs of Sudanese refugees in Egypt."
